We had such a different experience I’m shocked! Except for the lousy beds – if we ever went back to bass, this would definitely be our go to except for the very uncomfortable bed. I think they’re just a piece of foam on top of a box spring.As far as everything else – the breakfast was amazing – you could have cooked to order breakfast, hot buffet and cold buffet with lots of items, and the only up charge for golds would be if you ordered something off the menu. And even then the server assured us if we just wanted omelettes or something it would be no problem. The pastries were all freshly baked – going to this frozen and reheated stuff. The hot items were fresh as well, and clearly not pre-cooked. We received a slight upgrade on upon registration – a view room thatWas on the small side but adequate for our needs for one night. Riverview was lovely and was very quiet.What I really enjoyed about the hotel most of all was that can-do attitude of the staff. We were thing to his goals when we registered, We had a bit of an upgrade, the extra towels we requested were waiting in our room,And every special request we made for anything was accommodated quickly and pleasantly.It’s also in a great location for visiting bath – near all the restaurants and shops, but set off a little bit by itself so it’s quieter than some of the other properties in town.If it wasn’t for the beds it would’ve been a five-star stay.
