Follow-up to my question - arrived Sunday morning around 6:50am. Online checkin and carry-ons only. Fast track lane didn't say who was eligible, but we used it (*G). Regular line wasn't huge, but also not moving quickly (maybe 20 mins)? We were eating breakfast inside the terminal (T3) by about 7:15.
Great feedback! The internet is full of myths about needing to arrive 3 hours early, and FCO being a mess. That hasn't been my experience. You arrived less than two hours before departure, and had time inside to spare for an airside breakfast. This varies by flight, time, and season, but this is great feedback for all.
