We are planning to visit Mauritius in October for eight days. We are trying to decide between the Four Seasons in an interconnecting Sanctuary beach villa and beach villa, the Shangri-La in their Beach Villa (3 bedrooms), and Villa One (2 Bedrooms) at the O&O. Le Prince does not have a two or three bedroom villa with a private pool, or it isn't available for our dates - it is difficult to tell from their website. The Shangri-La and O&O are only a bit more than the Four Seasons, for our room categories, and appear to have better views plus the advantage of an additional large living space and full-size pool, but it is always difficult to get an accurate representation from website photos. I understand that the service at the Shangri-La doesn't compare to the Four Seasons from reviews on Flyertalk, but I wondered if that would extend to the Beach Villas as well. I also understand that the O&O is not as highly regarded as the Four Seasons, but wondered if their new renovation (re-opening this month - I believe) has/would possibly change that. We do not play golf, and, while we will be traveling with our two youngest children, we do not require children's clubs. Primarily, our goal is relaxation, and, for my husband, kiteboarding - he plans to drive to the best kiteboarding beaches. Service is very important to us, as are the hard product and water views. Any thoughts or advice? Thank you!
