The other day I tried to use the 1K automated upgrade line. After going through all the motions it told me there were no upgrade available for any of the flights on the itinerary. A quick call back to a live operator at the 1K desk and I was confirmed on all 4 legs, including the two RJ portions of the trip.

Unimpressive was the only word I could conjure up.
