Not pleased with AC in Dallas
I had about a three hour layover at DFW last night, incoming from HKG. I decide for a quick freshen-up and decide upon a shower at the AC. The club was packed and they told me it would be at least an hour. Ok, I get on the list. Then they ask for a paper copy of my ticket - I happen to have one since they printed it in HKG. Then she says that she needs to hold on to my paper ticket in order for me to be on the list. My first thought was, do I really need this ticket? I’ve got my boarding pass on my phone - but then I recall my phone has about .0002% battery left. So then I think, what if I want to leave the AC or the line goes long? Then I’m gonna have to come get my ticket - and the club is packed. So I decline to hand over the ticket. No shower for me, she says.
Been in in lots of ACs, taken lots of showers, and this is the first time they asked for a ticket. 90% of the time I wouldn’t have a paper ticket. Seems a little unnecessary - they could just call my name over the PA like they do in many other ACs. All in all, not too impressed with level of service.
