I had heard the opposite of this from the lounge ladies in AUH. I was told that all of these upgrades had to be done over the phone before arriving at the airport.

If some of the points above regarding using the cash price, then converting this to mileage rate (no doubt at a very poor conversion), then this just smacks even more of complete and utter idiots running the system. It is literally as if they are geared towards p!$$!ng off the people that fly them the most. Seems ironic when you see the videos the social media team have been pumping out re' loyalty.


Sometimes I feel that, despite it making my life a whole lot harder if it did happen, that EY would just start to crumble around itself and ultimately stop operating.
It may show some of the "future leaders" and "next generation of business experts" that get thrust in to these rolls, probably straight from the government sponsored MBA, at EY Towers.

Maybe miles are a problem? The banks just keep giving them away. If they are thrown 100s of 1000s of miles for opening up a credit card... what should we expect?
