Any Egencia users? Need help getting status/points applied to bookings

Hi All,

My company recently switched to Egencia as a our travel booking tool. I started to notice when I was checking in, that my Marriott Rewards information and status were not attached to my reservations (I do have my membership number on file in Egencia). This was problem #1 .

Typically the person checking me in will "add" my rewards number to the reservation when I ask them to do it manually.

Problem #2 - it looks like the stays are not posting to my account.

Marriott's response: When I called them - they said that some stays that are booked through Egencia don't qualify for points and that I was out of luck. I'm assuming those stays are ones that are booked and "paid for by company", not paid at the hotel by me. For the record, I only book the "paid at the hotel" rates and always pay using my credit card at the hotel.

Egencia's response: They confirmed what I had thought and told me that rates that are "paid by company" don't qualify for points and showed me that when booking one of those rates it actually says that no points will be earned right in the terms. When you book a rate that you pay on your own at the hotel - it doesn't have the disclaimer that you won't get points. I've noticed when booking certain Hyatt rooms, it very clears says in Egencia that the particular rate DOES qualify for points. The Marriott rooms I try to book with my own card in Egencia don't specifically say they qualify for points, they just don't say specifically that they DO NOT qualify for points.

My next step is to spend a couple of hours loading up receipts documentation for the stays that didn't post and sending them into Marriott to see if I can get credit - fingers crossed.

I have a few questions here if there are any Egencia users out there...
1) I have my Marriott Rewards # attached to my profile. In the past when using Concur that information always made it over to my reservation. My status was recognized upon check in and my points posted. With bookings that I'm making in Egencia that number does not seem to be applied to the reservation. My status is not recognized and I'm not getting points. Am I doing something wrong - is there somewhere else besides the profile section in Egencia where I need to be adding my Marriott Rewards number? Am I the only one having this problem?

2) When booking Marriott properties - if I book the "paid by me at the hotel" rate - should these stays be qualifying for points? Are you actively getting points for these stays?

Thanks in advance for the help here. I've got to figure out some way to automate this process. Manually entering these stays (assuming that even gets me credit) 60 times a year is not going to be very much fun.
