SFO has United's best arrivals lounge. This has been a lifesaver for me after flying up from SYD over the years. A 2 - 3 hour layover there really makes me feel much better when I get where I'm going, usually YVR. But I bet it would help your state of arrival in IAD, or DCA, too.
