Family seating strategy question

Hi everyone,
I am after some advice with regards seating on an upcoming flight: LGW>PUJ on 5th December. We are a family of 4 (7 year old twins), and have been allocated 19ABCD shortly after T-7.

The flight seems pretty empty both through expert flyer, and also the price seems the lowest in that period (J9 C9 D6 R0 I0 W9 E9 T9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V5 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G9).

Initially I had intended to try and grab 2 rows just after OLCI and hope we get free seats next to us, but my wife has said she would prefer a 3 and a 1. Now, there are 4 exit aisle seats available to me to buy, yet blocked on expert flyer (26ABCH). Obviously no good for the kids, but my questions:
1 - If I bought 26H now, and did OCLI dead on 24 hours before how likely to get 27HJK?
2 - If we bought 26BC and put the kids in 27BC, would we be moved around anyway because the kids have to be next to (as opposed to behind) an adult?
3 - When will the exit seats be opened up for others to buy, at T-72?
4 - If I stuck with the original plan of taking 2 rows and hoping to get free seats, any idea to how successful it would be, and any tips in this regards?

Thanks in advance, I have been reading the forum loads in the last few days and have gained a load of amazing info, but this particular situation still has me stumped
