Some people, like myself, not only snore loudly but have a melatonin related condition and have to sleep with the light on. Persons, whether pax or cabin crew, who take it upon themselves to turn off the light are risking me being very sick indeed. (The upside of the condition is that you don't get jet lag....) Even when I make it known to the cabin crew that I need the light left on, some pax who thinks I am disturbing their rest by having light in the cabin will creep up and switch it off (unless I succeed in holding the control in my hand in such a way that they can't). Use eye-patches if you don't like my light, please!
