Historic flight info BA from Dublin to Calgary
Hi…I am a Canadian and was recently travelling in Central America…I met up with some travellers from the UK and somehow learned about the EU delayed flight compensation rules. I have done some research and started the process of claiming compensation for a flight my family and I took from Dublin to Calgary, Canada via Heathrow with British Airways on August 30 2016. Here are the details:
Original sched:
BA 837 from Dublin to Heathrow leaving at 1520
BA103 Heathrow to Calgary Canada leaving at 1840
Actual sched:
When we arrived at the Dublin airport BA told us our scheduled flight was already late (no reason given but definitely not weather) and so they put us on the next flight which was supposed to get us to Heathrow on time to catch our BA103 flight home to Calgary. In the end both the scheduled flight and the one they put us on were too late arriving at Heathrow to get us home that day. We arrived home August 31 at 1430 via an Air Canada Flight that BA arranged for us (and they arranged hotel, food and transfers).
I have a copy of the original sched and ticket numbers (for all 4 family members). I don’t seem to be able to located the number of the British Airways flight we actually took which left Dublin around 1730 on August 30 2016. I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me find that flight number as well as information on exactly how late both the original scheduled flight (BA 837) AND the alternate flight were? I am not sure how important it is to my claim given that we were delayed enough to miss our flight from Heathrow to Calgary and arrived home almost a day later...which in my opinion is evidence that we were delayed for more than 4 hours. Thanks in advance!
