I get that Boeing wasn't about to invest in a new fuselage for a type update, but for me, unless flying up front, this frame will remain one to avoid where possible.
I buy American whenever possible and live 40 miles from Boeing's Everett factory. However, I have been a fan of the A32x family ever since my first US Airways A319 flight from PIT to SNA many years ago. We just returned home on an Alaska Air flight in their premium section. The leg room and service were great, but the seat width was terrible. There was a guy in the middle seat in the row ahead of me. He was heavy but now obese, and he encroached on the personal space of his fellow passengers. While I'm used the the pmUS A32x fleet, I recently had some flights on the new AA version I was really impressed with the comfort.
