If management thinks that the passengers are so very important then they can just cave and give the pilots what they want. When are mangement going to realize that they are less needed than the work force.
There are times for negotiation, even hardball tactics, this is not one of them. Airing dirty laundry in this manner is a lose-lose proposition in the long term for all concerned.
