I made a huge one recently. We were in Paris, and I got sick. Woke up with a severe sore throat and cough that got worse as the day went on. Long story short, house call doctor came to the hotel and diagnosed me with bronchitis and a very swollen throat. Sent my hubby out with prescriptions. I started the meds, and ate a light dinner. We packed, as we were leaving for Barcelona the next day.

I was tired, sick, and a bit out of it and did not double-check the time of our train. Big mistake. I thought the train left a half hour later than it did. Needless to say, we missed the train. Fortunately, we were accommodated on the next train, free of charge. Still, we were late arriving in Barcelona, we spent four and a half hours waiting at the station, and I was totally embarrassed at my idiotic mistake. Grrrr . . .
