Thanks Cymro - unfortunately end of my TP year is 8th Jan and I can't imagine I could (easily) get another 10TPs for < £101 (once you take into account getting to and from LHR/LGW from central London, plus the time involved).
So, it's basically £900 for the two tickets, guaranteeing keeping my silver card, vs maybe £500 for standard economy flights, so it's decision time....
Did you think that you could get 240 TP on Finnair? It's only 20 TP each way HEL-TLL because the plane is small and economy only, hence points are awarded for flex Y only.
If you want to make sure you get over the TP line, how about adding on a JER-LGW leg on the 5th for about £20 more (in business) and do a back-to-back one way from Gatwick (£57 outbound). This involves leaving Gatwick at 6.30 p.m. and landing back in Gatwick around 9.
