The gate check tag is red for coach but yellow for first class. Although I’ve never had a yellow tagged bag be first off the plane and I sit around on the jetway with everybody else waiting for the bags. If you check a bag at the gate, they’ll tag it with a standard luggage tag with barcode and those are delivered to baggage claim.
