Transit with alcohol
Hi all,
In January I will be travelling from JNB with a 24 hr stopover in DOH. On previous flights through I have never had any need to travel with alcohol, however when coming back from South Africa, I usually like to bring some of my favourite wines that I can't source in the UK.
I seem to remember reading in the forums that if you need to leave the airport (as I will do) you can turn your alcohol in at customs, get a receipt, and on your departure have it returned to you. Now I can't seem to locate that. Is this still the case (assuming it ever was) and how does one go about doing that?
