Interesting. Speed cameras have become the bane of my foreign driving experiences. And I've only ever gotten one ticket (for 25 euro in France) in tens of thousands of miles! It's just very unpleasant to have to worry about them, instead of just driving a normal speed. I will have to look into GPS systems that identify them. That would seem pretty easy to do in Brazil where the locations do not seem to be mobile. That said, I've never seen more cameras than I did on the drive to Ilha Grande. If you drove a "normal" speed and didn't pay attention to the cameras, you would receive several tickets on the way.
