Looks like United is not the only airline suffering from over entitled frequent flyers.
The "devaluation" has seen the discontinuation of YQ which compensated from some of the price increase. There are destination (e.g. CPT) where the total pricing for tickets went down.
F usually sells at a premium of 50% while SQ is only charging 30 to 35% more:
SIN-JFK: 92,000 miles one-way in Business Class, 120,000 miles in Suites. That's a surcharge of 30% or 28,000 miles. Equals a 420 USD value; I consider that surcharge to be extremely low for the fact that you enjoy a much bigger seat and 24 hours free flow of premium champagne.
