The GPS systems I've used when renting from the car rental places in the bigger cities have a program that identifies all the speed cameras locations with an audible warning as you are approaching them.

It seemed to work very effectively, as I only got one ticket in a 2 week period when I was in Salvador......which was charged back to my AMEX.
