Well it is on SQ and a few other select carriers. But outside this circle, there are degrees of First. My first First experience on any carrier (excluding domestic "first" in US) was not on SQ, but was at a time when I was frequently flying SQ business class. This happened to be an upgrade from J on a 13 hr sector and tt really discouraged me from that carrier, and the thing that stuck in my mind was it took an hour to be served a beverage after take off (no turbulence to blame , just normal conditions) which didn't seem like "First" at all ... for someone who was used to SQ business service (where it's not unusual to partake in 2-3 drinks during first hour) this was unacceptable.

So First is not always First.
