I found this, too, so have stopped even thinking about it.
At the moment, if you use a UK card to pay BA, you still get charged the UK credit card fee of 1% up to £20. But it's not difficult to work out that that's better value than paying in EUR with a UK card and incurring the typical 2.5%-3% foreign currency fee on the EUR amount.
