Another data point: Friday, November 24 LAX - CLT, gate agent eyed carry-ons and made a few people in group 1 put their bags in the sizer. Been a while since I'd seen an agent enforce carry on sizes and figured it was due to the holiday and lots of infrequent flyers whose carry-ons might have been to large.
