However if you indeed want to use it as a base for exploring Santiago, the Doubletree is a better property location wise (I've never stayed there, but have considered it before). By providing the complimentary shuttle bus, it is clear that they hotel knows that it is in the middle of an industrial area, but most hotels around the airport are in the same fate unless you are ready to pay for the more expensive Holiday Inn opposite the terminal.
My last stay there early this year everything functioned OK in the room and did not have any issue with the water temperature. Since I do know basic Spanish, I did not have any problems with the TV and most of the staff does speak English.
As a Diamond member, it was nice that they give reasonable treatments, e.g. drink vouchers, water bottles and upgrades.
It may not be the best hotel, but for me it's good enough of a hotel especially for late arriving or early morning flight to stay.
