Someone I know has given me a "Complimentary First Class Upgrade" coupon they got for having an Alaska Airlines Visa Platinum card. The coupon says first class may be confirmed only at the airport on the day of departure. Fine print on the back says the coupon is non-transferable. Provided first class is available, do you think I could possibly get away with using this coupon and is there any chance I could get in trouble for trying to use someone else's coupon. (My FF mileage is to post to Continental, not Alaska.)
