I didn't mind the 10-15 tram ride into the CBD every day (especially since it was free). I'm honestly not sure if I received an upgraded room or not as a Gold but the room / bathroom was a more than decent size and very comfortable for 2 nights. The difference in price with the Westin/Sheraton was more than material. I agree with rick253 that this is among the top of Four Point properties.
