The TV was quite nice and the lighting and dinner table worked very well. The aisle side arm rest was required to be put all the way down before takeoff but did not work too well in that regard. I noticed the FAs putting down most peoples for them. The thing that was most surprising was the shoulder belt. It was an independent shoulder belt that clipped onto the lap belt. This was required for takeoff. I've never seen one in the back of any commercial aircraft before. Do we have new FAA rules requiring this?
Not sure about the FAA rules but more common now for premium seats. The AA 787 should have fully flat beds up front in business class (first when domestic flying).
