is there anything I can do?
Look at your reservation confirmation.
(1) Is this a prepaid (advance) booking. If so, no cancellation (refunds allowed).
(2) If this is a flexible rate, what's the cancel by date? There could be a 1 day-penalty and you can do the math and decide if canceling is worth it.
Alternatively, if cancel-by date is passed (assuming flexible rate), call property to see if you can shorten stay to 1 night on the original reservation
Before committing, book subsequent nights on the reduced (flexible) rate then make the cancellation/adjustment to original reservation.
