I just did my HKG-TPE OLCI and got the same message (AGAIN!). It looks like it is recurring at least to me. I am not sure why this time though as I got a return leg with CX also. It's annoying.
Well it becomes even more interesting when I tried to check in for my returning from ICN to HKG, I was unable to do it through website on my laptop/mobile with the following message.

I don't know what travel information they need to capture as my booking is properly located....and then I turned to the mobile app and surprisingly, IT WORKS! I was even able to get the mobile pass.
Not sure what is the problem there but if it is related to visa check I hope that they can state it clear then I would know on what journey I will need to visit counter and allow extra time for that.
