Worst experience ever-Crowne Plaza Resort 12000 International Drive AVOID! Advice Plz
I had a horrible experience at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Orlando, Florida on 12000 Internation Drive on 06/02/04. I sat in the room for 4 hours while it did not cool down. Apparently there is an ambient sensor in the room that puts the A/C in "quiet mode" if you don't move around enough. Yes this is true. It had been 95 that day and the room was not cool. I decided to, in good fath, wait for the room to cool for 4 hours and do work. I complained three times, and once the engineer came up to disassemble the thermostat and tell me that everything was good.
At 7pm I gave up as the room was still 77 degrees.
When I went downstairs the night manager was extremely rude. He told me that I had not done enough and there would be a total charge of $80. No matter of discussion could persuade him to the ludicrousness of this charge.
Sure enough, $80 did hit my account. I complained bitterly to Priority Club who deposited some points into my account.
What should I do next? Dispute with credit card company? Written letter? Are there any attorneys out there interested in this case? In my opinion this is pure FRAUD.
I went down the street to Crowne Plaza Universal and could not have had a better experience - wonderful location with wonderful employees.
