After a good 20-minutes' wait, a mechanic appears on board to repair something (apparently, a seat) and a chap sitting not far from me starts complaining to the crew ("I fly this route 2/3 times a week and we're late 99% of the time"), to which the young lady (FA) went (quite abruptly, in Polish): "Sir, I also want to get to Gdańsk as soon as possible and also note that Ryanair fly to Gdańsk as well" (which, by the way, is no longer the case...). LOL.

Yes, it's funny how they trot out those familiar excuses, under the assumption that none of the pax will be tracking the inbound flight. The GDN route was one of those that Ryanair axed in response to its staffing problems. Maybe they'll bring it back for S18, but I got caught out when booking an ARN-HKG trip recently by thinking that I could patch in a cheap connection via GDN, only to find that the FR route had vanished.

What's interesting is that on many of the (less stellar) airlines, it's the older tenured FAs that have the attitude problem, whereas the younger ones are often more earnest and at least trying to pretend that the customer matters. On LO I sometimes get the impression that the younger FAs pick up the indifferent mindset very quickly, almost as if they received it in their induction training. I still think that if there were Olympic events for eye-rolling or sarcasm then Poland would easily win Gold, Silver and Bronze.
