Just called in to use the RUCs for the first time. ATL-LAX and back. I specifically booked flights with the lieflats in the first class. No immediate space for upgrade. Been put on waitlist. How do you know if you've been correctly put on the waitlist? The certificates are all showing in my wallet. The itinerary says "Upgrade Status:Upgrade Waitlisted". I wonder if that's because I've checked off request for FC upgrade or because I'm using the RUCs... currently showing 12(outbound)/19(inbound) open seats for a flight a few weeks out.
