Well I got an 'up close and personal' with the new uniform (friend is a CSD).

As dnw said, there is a long queue for the new uniform. Most folk really hate the old one and can't wait to get shot of it. As my friend said, it was designed by 'that Irish twit' (well I think a different variant of that last word was used). No love lost on the old uniform.

I must say, getting the chance to have a good look at it, they've done a really good job. Lot's of nice little details. Fabric feels nice and drapes very nicely. And the CSD badge is acutally metal instead of cheap plastic!

Also, crew are happy it fits! Gents can lift their arms above their heads and ladies have a bustline There's also a hint of 'tarty' red lining for the slit skirt as well

It's also a much more flexible uniform. Crew are being told if they don't need something, they do not have to order it. For instance, they do not have to order the coat if they will not be using it and can select a caridgan instead. And that is generating a cost saving in not having to buy stuff that will just sit in the cupboard.

And if anything, crew are feeling really positive about it (look smart, feel smart) and that will hopefully be reflected with the service on board.
