sorry can not comment on the new VS lounge at JFk - have not been there yet.
At EWR I found the VS lounge better than the SK one - the later seemed basic in comparison. IIRC - you are a SEN with LH - so you can use both lounges as you hold a Star* BP - bear in mind trhat VS is before Security and SK after Security.
All in all I would suggest the VS. Still the meal service on board was far superior to the one offered in the lounge.
