Why not credit to United? Miles won't expire as long as she flies once every 18 months.
As I read UA often has one of the best fares. I don't know about SAS but I think when flying LH you're often better off crediting your miles to UA as well. You will earn at least the same amount of miles, sometimes even more. (except apparently for the K-fare as 1flyer stated)
