I can't understand why people take their shoes off on planes. The floors are absolutely disgusting. Some people even walk to the lavatories in their bare/stockinged feet! I prefer to keep as much between my feet and the floor as possible.
I always bring a pair of sandals to wear on long flights. The lavatory floors can be quite discusting and even the socks in the amenity kits are not going to keep you dry.
