Shoot, that is a problem... I was hoping we'd be able to stay somewhere in wine country for a night because it's an easy drive from SF but there's really nothing available. It looks like we'd need to trip down to SoCal which sort of devalues the free night as it's more of an expense and hassle to drive/fly down than to redeem a single night stay. It would be great if we had more than 6 months to apply the free night cert. The only other hotels I'm finding in Northern California are concentrated in the Sunnyvale, Cupertino, San Jose area but who the hell wants to spend a night there? Does anyone know how quickly it posts? I might consider just extending our trip in SoCal by an extra night if we're able to apply it right away, since we won't be back down there before 6 months (we're saving for 2.5 weeks in Tokyo in March/April).
