What are you guys saying to get to retentions? I usually say I was thinking about closing my account today, but every time the front line agent offers to immediately close the account. No transfer to retentions, no nothing. I also talked to a supervisor who claims they no longer credit annual fees to retain cardmembers which is obviously wrong. Also she claims once the AF posts and you close the card it will be prorated from the day the AF posts. This is for my Premier card. Not much spending the past year, maybe $2k.
