It depends, if you fly a lot one way, or short long haul round trips where you spend 2 or 3 week days at destination, then buying these expensive miles can be a good deal since usual fares are never cheap in these circumstances, and even less in business class. if you want to buy round trip holiday business class fares... then indeed, pretty bad value to buy these miles.
