Ultimately that' what it all comes down to. Is the $3K for 20 hours of comfort worth more than what else you could spend $3K on, or your value of your heirs having an extra (NPV) $3K.

I'd have no problem "affording" F/J flights, but feel I'd be shortchanging my kids.
