You may not have seen reports, but I have had those plates put in front of me on every single DL flight I have flown over the last 20 years.
Didn't DL rename First to DeltaOne? Same food just in a renamed cabin. There are only two options: the aforementioned onion sandwich (sometimes with a single slice of squash and/or lettuce if you're lucky) OR the brown/tan mush. Never anything else.
