Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone have any input on my scenario below:
I have both the Chase Marriott Rewards and Amex SPG. If I use the Chase card the points are counted toward my lifetime points. I was informed that SPG starpoints don't count toward Marriott lifetime points when transferred. Though the Amex SPG card is stingy, the trade value is 3-to-1 when transferred to Marriott points. Thus, I would be able to accumulate Marriott points technically faster considering the Chase card only gives you 2 points to the dollar. I am talking about just for day-to-day spending and not for hotel spending specifically.
Does anyone have any opinion or advice or experience the reason you choose one card over the other?
