So what's the relevance of what AA would charge on a reward booking? (EDIT: I am not sure the OP has said he has all his miles with BA and not AA unless i am missing something? So perhaps booking with AA is an option?)

The check is whether the TFC matches what it would be on an equivalent revenue booking on the same flights. It doesn't here due to the Saint Lucia Travel Tax as we have both noted.
