"Perhaps you might want to anonymously order a VGML meal in the future and see what you are served. See how it compares to the regular meals, both in terms of quantity and quality. See if you feel you are treated just like everyone else around you. See if you feel you got a good value for your money.

Delta's website prominently says “chef curated food”, “new regional offerings”, “customers experience restaurant level service in the skies”, “bringing star-quality food“ and so on. But not for those of us ordering special meals.
What is served shows the lack of time and effort the catering companies put into VGML meals. "Just throw something on a plate and we're done" is the impression I always get. Unfortunately, the catering companies' understanding of how to prepare a satisfying meal for vegans seems to be lacking (or even non-existent). Not enough effort is put into creating meals that passengers will genuinely enjoy (or even identify what is on their plate)."
Don't DeltaOne menus usually have a vegetarian option (a pasta of some sort, IME)? If so, and if that met your requirements, it might make sense to stick with what is on the menu.
