It made planning complex routings a breeze plus and easy to spot which the east-west routes that operated nonstop out of your hub in Portland vs those you had to transit Seattle. Now it just a mush of lines that give no information other than you fly a lot of places. If that's important then keep the static map but please bring back the one that's actually useful.
