Thanks for everyone's response, although it is a mixed message. Anyone actually did it successfully or affirmative answer.
Looks like mobile pass/checkin is available via online website within 48hr.
I need to go to Shenzhen/Guangzhou across the border, but routing to HGH is quite a trouble going back to SZX/CAN, since domestic flights are often delayed in China, I might loose a day or two for this routing. Any destination airport in southern China (instead of HGH) offer similar discount? I tried CAN, but price is too high.
