In case you are not aware the points to book the CP holders ticket can come from any SW account.
If that passenger has CP when you go to their account the add companion option will show up under the itinerary.
My dad does not travel but lets me get cards in his name. I always use his SW points first and book a ticket for the CP holder ( my wife or I) and then add the other person as the companion.
