Reading the ingredients, its frozen because there are not a lot of preservatives. Maybe the concentrated lemon juice and some of the salts, but not a lot in the way of artificial ingredients. I pretty much eat mostly frozen vegetables since I find them less wasteful than fresh and a lot less (no preservatives) than non frozen.
You know, this is very true about the waste, and you have made a smart adaptation. Since we fly about every 10 days, we are always left with fresh produce that will go bad by the time we return from our trip. I often try to give it away to friends or colleagues just before we leave but, truthfully, a lot goes to waste.
