It's the old 2-4-1 voucher that's the problem....getting two CW seats on dates to suit is pretty tough unless you're extremely flexible on dates or are prepared to faff about booking different classes in the hope of another CW seat becoming available....personally I couldn't be bothered with that but many do. Your suggestion of flying into and out of different airports is a good one. ^
Even Iberia awards on the EZE route are tougher to get than they used to be although getting 2 seats shouldn't be a problem more than +8 months out. They're cheaper as well in both Avios and taxes/charges when booked through Iberia Plus although it'll mean transferring Avios and discarding the 2-4-1 voucher.
