I can't think of anything dangerous in the kit (it's really just a collection of plastic and some metal parts), but I don't want to get stuck at security either.

I would be grateful for some advice from seasoned flyers.

Thanks

I collect RC Tamiya cars. Which one did you buy? Did you go to the Tamiya store?

I had a Saturday job when I was 16 (1989) working at a shop called, "The toys and hobbies centre", IIRC it was later renamed Beatties. I used to make some extra money building the cars for customers as well. I liked the BigWig and the Porsche 959 kits.

I bought a TA04 Ferrari 360 Modena back in 2003 in a shop in Sham Shui Po and bought it back in hand luggage on BA - No problem.
